About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase & Procurement Manager with strong IT knowledge to oversee sourcing, vendor management, procurement operations, and supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring IT hardware, software, networking equipment, licenses, and related services while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Purchasing
- Manage end-to-end procurement of IT hardware, software, networking products, and office infrastructure.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, comparative statements, and procurement reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services based on business requirements.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on pricing, quality, service levels, and delivery timelines.
- Conduct periodic vendor assessments and maintain approved vendor databases.
- Negotiate contracts, warranties, service agreements, and payment terms.
IT Procurement Expertise
Strong knowledge of the following IT product categories is essential:
- Servers & Storage Solutions
- Laptops, Desktops & Workstations
- Networking Equipment (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wi-Fi Solutions)
- Software Licensing & Cloud Services
- Cybersecurity Solutions
- Printers, Peripherals & IT Accessories
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with technical teams to understand specifications and procurement requirements.
- Ensuring compatibility, compliance, and quality standards of procured IT products and solutions.
Financial & Compliance Management
- Track procurement budgets and control purchasing expenditures.
- Coordinate with finance teams for invoice verification and vendor payments.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and audit requirements.
Financial & Compliance Management
- Generate procurement MIS reports and vendor performance analyses.
- Monitor purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide regular procurement updates and project status reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in IT procurement is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of IT products, vendors, and current market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
