Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of electronic components from domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with reliable vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and commercial conditions.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure timely deliveries.
2. SMT Production Planning
- Coordinate procurement activities with production schedules.
- Ensure availability of BOM components as per production requirements.
- Plan material requirements based on production forecasts and demand.
- Coordinate with production and other internal teams to avoid material shortages.
3. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor warehouse and vendor stock levels.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels for electronic components.
- Track material consumption, shortages, excess stock, and ageing inventory.
- Implement measures to prevent stock-outs and unnecessary inventory accumulation.
4. Import & Export Pricing
- Manage landed cost calculations for imported electronic components.
- Coordinate customs duties, logistics costs, and other import-related expenses.
- Evaluate international supplier pricing and ensure cost-effective sourcing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable import/export requirements.
5. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records.
- Track purchase prices, material costs, delivery schedules, and inventory data.
- Prepare regular procurement and inventory reports for management.
- Analyse purchasing data to support cost optimization and decision-making.
