Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase Officer, based in the Cuttack district. The Purchase Officer will oversee and manage procurement activities, including reviewing and processing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The role involves maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with organizational purchasing policies. Additional responsibilities include analyzing procurement processes for efficiency and identifying cost-saving opportunities, while maintaining accurate records and inventory oversight.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Purchase Requisitions
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation to establish favorable terms and ensure supplier relationships
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating procurement data and identifying cost-saving measures
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory
