Position Details:
- Designation: Purchase Officer
- Department: Procurement / Purchase
- Location: Indore office (responsible Dewas unit)
- Reporting To: Senior Purchase Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor identification, evaluation, and development
- Procurement consumables, and spare parts
- Price negotiation and cost optimization
- Preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Maintaining inventory levels and coordination with stores
- Supplier performance monitoring and compliance
- Handling RFQs, comparative statements, and contract finalization
Required Qualification:
- Diploma / B.E (Mechanical/Electrical)
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Engg. purchase
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is mandatory (cement / SSP industry preferable)
- Hands-on experience with any ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge in inventory management.
Skills Required:
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of industrial materials, spare parts, and sourcing
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting
Salary – CTC 40 – 45 k
