Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Officer, based in Rayagada. The Purchase Officer will manage procurement activities including preparing purchase orders, processing purchase requisitions, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves evaluating vendors, sourcing materials and services, and negotiating contracts to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery. Additionally, the role demands collaboration with internal departments to meet inventory and supply chain requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing Processes, including the preparation and management of Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions
- Strong skills in Contract Negotiation and supplier evaluation to ensure cost efficiency and quality delivery
- Solid Analytical Skills for data-driven decision making and problem-solving in procurement operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and stakeholder coordination
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control is a plus
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience in procurement within the manufacturing or metals industry is an advantage
