Job details:
Responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting uninterrupted production through effective coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely procurement of bought-out and consumable materials based on production requirements.
- Convert Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO) on a daily basis with strict adherence to timelines.
- Maintain optimal safety stock levels, especially for long lead-time and critical materials.
- Ensure 100% on-time delivery of materials from suppliers.
- Monitor procurement activities and achieve cost-saving targets through effective sourcing strategies.
- Maintain inventory levels aligned with business requirements and production plans.
- Track and ensure continuous availability of critical materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers to release Purchase Orders on time.
- Ensure materials are received at least one week in advance to support production schedules.
- Monitor procurement activities against allocated budget.
- Analyze and control inventory based on demand fluctuations and business volume.
- Develop strategies to optimize inventory and reduce excess stock.
- Identify and take corrective actions for non-moving and slow-moving materials.
- Manage disposal of obsolete and dead stock materials as per company policies.
