Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Bhubaneswar for a Purchase Manager specializing in fruits and vegetables. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing fresh produce, managing vendor relationships with farmers and suppliers, ensuring quality standards, negotiating optimal pricing, and maintaining stock levels to meet delivery demands. Additional responsibilities include forecasting market trends, staying updated on seasonal availability, and maintaining records to ensure seamless inventory management.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of fruits and vegetables sourcing in local and regional markets
- Vendor management and negotiation skills
- Experience in inventory management and forecasting
- Attention to detail and ability to monitor quality standards
- Organizational and time management skills for efficient and timely procurement
- Basic computer skills to manage records and create reports
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and pricing strategies
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or food industry, is an advantage
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic environment
