Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Manager, located in the Pune Division. The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of materials and supplies for interior design projects, manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials while optimizing costs. Day-to-day responsibilities include forecasting inventory needs, analyzing market and supplier trends, ensuring compliance with company policies, and partnering with project managers to align procurement goals with project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills, with experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Industry knowledge in interior design materials, construction materials, and sourcing sustainable or eco-friendly options.
- Proficiency in supply chain management, inventory planning, and cost optimization practices.
- Strong analytical skills for market research, pricing analysis, and trend identification.
- Proficiency in using procurement or ERP software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership capabilities to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within specified timelines and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Supply chain certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in purchasing or procurement roles within the interior design, construction, or related industries is highly advantageous.
