Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Raigarh for a Purchase Manager. The Purchase Manager will oversee the procurement of materials critical to production while ensuring cost efficiency and timely supply. Responsibilities include identifying and negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, ensuring compliance with procurement practices, and fostering relationships with vendors to ensure quality materials. The role also involves maintaining detailed records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proficient in vendor management, supplier negotiations, and contract management
- Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control strategies
- Experience with procurement processes, including sourcing and logistics
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building vendor relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or steel industry is an advantage
