Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Manager role based in Noida. The Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts for materials, equipment, and services required for EPC projects. Key responsibilities include managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery to sites and factories, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and coordinating closely with project, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align procurement with project schedules and specifications. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, resolving supply-related issues, optimizing costs without compromising quality, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The Purchase Manager will also support continuous improvement in procurement processes, develop strategic sourcing plans, and contribute to long-term supplier relationships.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong procurement and supply chain management skills, including vendor sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Candidates should possess skills in inventory control, materials planning, and logistics coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective availability of resources.
- Candidates should possess skills in data analysis, cost benchmarking, and use of ERP systems (preferably SAP) to manage purchase cycles and monitor spending.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with project, engineering, finance, and manufacturing teams.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of EPC industry procurement practices, familiarity with standards and certifications related to power, railways, and telecom infrastructure, and an understanding of quality and compliance requirements.
- Candidates should ideally have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field, with prior experience in procurement or purchasing in infrastructure or manufacturing organizations.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
