Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchase Manager, based in Kolkata. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for daily operations. Key tasks include supplier evaluation, managing procurement budgets, monitoring inventory levels, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials. The role will also involve analyzing market trends to identify new opportunities and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processes
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain supplier relationships
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate suppliers, costs, and market trends
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple procurement activities simultaneously
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or stationery industry would be advantageous
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring quality standards
