Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for fragrance ingredients, packaging materials, and related supplies. This role oversees vendor identification and selection, negotiates pricing and contracts, and ensures timely, cost-effective sourcing aligned with quality standards and sustainability goals. The Purchase Manager monitors inventory levels, forecasts demand, and coordinates with production, logistics, and finance teams to maintain optimal stock and smooth operations. Daily responsibilities include tracking purchase orders, evaluating supplier performance, resolving delivery or quality issues, and maintaining accurate procurement records and reports. The role also contributes to process improvements, risk management, and the development of strategic sourcing plans that support Mynd & Bloom’s growth and mission.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply planning.
- Knowledge of supply chain operations, logistics coordination, and cost optimization.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and use procurement or ERP software tools.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
- Prior experience in FMCG, fragrances, cosmetics, or manufacturing sectors is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- Commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and alignment with Mynd & Bloom’s mission and values.
