Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Manager located in Jamshedpur. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing of materials, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role includes negotiating contracts, assessing supplier performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and collaborating with various departments to support production requirements. The candidate will also ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations, maintaining a streamlined and efficient procurement process. condidate will be given prefence from tipper material purchase experience and also knowledge of Tipper kits, components, HR sheet and Machine component.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Vendor Management, Supplier Negotiation, and Procurement Processes
- Experience with Inventory Management, Demand Planning, and Cost Control
- Proven ability in Contract Management, and knowledge of regulatory compliance in procurement
- Proficiency in Market Research, Sourcing Strategies, and Supplier Performance Analysis
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
- Knowledge of SAP systems desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) is a plus
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or tipper industry preferred
