Role Description The Purchase Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Purchase Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and finalizing purchase orders. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, planning material requirements, and coordinating with manufacturing, projects, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of goods and services. The Purchase Manager will maintain supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and cost-control objectives. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate purchase records, preparing regular reports for management, and supporting process improvements in the purchasing function.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in vendor management, supplier negotiation, and relationship building.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in inventory planning, material requirement forecasting, and purchase order management.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in cost analysis, budget control, and price comparison for procurement decisions.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in documentation, record keeping, and basic proficiency with ERP or procurement software.
- Relevant experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
