Job Summary

The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing the supply of Ayurvedic raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods required for the company. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements related to Ayurvedic products.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure Ayurvedic raw materials, herbal extracts, packaging materials, and finished products from approved Vendors/TPM.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with herbal suppliers, manufacturers, and packaging vendors.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, marketing, and production teams to ensure timely product availability.
• Ensure procurement complies with Ayush, GMP, and quality standards for Ayurvedic products.
• Evaluate and approve new vendors based on quality, reliability, and pricing.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock planning to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Track and resolve issues related to material quality, delivery delays, or supply disruptions.
• Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
• Conduct market research for new herbal ingredients, packaging innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare purchase reports and maintain supplier performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Knowledge of Ayurvedic products, herbal raw materials, and packaging materials is preferred.

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in Ayurvedic, herbal, pharma, or FMCG industry.
