Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Manager located in Kolkata. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, and maintaining inventory levels to support operational requirements. Additional duties involve vendor evaluation, ensuring the timely receipt of goods, analyzing market trends, and ensuring compliance with quality and cost objectives. The role also includes collaborating with management to align purchasing activities with business goals.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of building successful supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent analytical and market research skills to track trends and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Effective communication, organizational, and team collaboration abilities for seamless coordination with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficiency in procurement-related software or systems; familiarity with F&B procurement is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
