Job Summary
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, engineering components, electrical equipment, and industrial consumables required for manufacturing and EPC operations at KRYFS Power Components Ltd.. The role ensures uninterrupted material availability, cost optimization, vendor development, and compliance with quality and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement of:
- CRGO steel coils and laminations
- Copper / aluminum components
- Transformer accessories
- Fabrication materials
- Electrical and mechanical consumables
- EPC project materials
- Prepare and execute procurement plans aligned with production schedules.
- Analyze material requirements through ERP/MRP systems.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and performance reviews.
- Maintain strategic relationships with key vendors.
Negotiation & Cost Control
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts.
- Achieve annual cost savings targets through strategic sourcing.
- Benchmark supplier pricing and market trends.
Inventory & Planning
- Coordinate with production, stores, and planning teams.
- Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Optimize inventory carrying costs.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure proper PO generation, GRN reconciliation, and invoice matching.
- Ensure procurement complies with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain procurement MIS and reports.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Production
- Quality Assurance
- Finance
- Stores
- Project / EPC teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Business Administration
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations preferred
Experience
- 8–15 years in procurement/purchase within:
- Power equipment
- Transformer manufacturing
- Electrical engineering
- EPC projects
- Heavy engineering industries
Key Skills
