We source critical materials—cement, steel, aggregates, and MEP items—for high-stakes projects where delays are not an option. As a lean, aggressive organization, we value speed, accuracy, and results. We are looking for a Purchase Manager who is ready to build systems, drive cost savings, and grow with us.
Role Overview
We need a sharp, numerically fluent professional with 2-3 years of experience in procurement within the infrastructure, construction, or real estate sector. This role demands three non-negotiable traits:
- Quick on Numbers: You must process unit rates, freight costs, landed cost calculations, and budget variances instantly.
- Tenacious Negotiator: You will drive hard bargains to reduce costs by 5-15% while securing favorable credit terms.
- Master Juggler: You will handle procurement for 5-10 simultaneous projects, each with unique urgency and material requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing: Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle—from raising RFQs and analyzing quotations to issuing POs and ensuring timely deliveries. Monitor commodity price trends and time purchases to maximize savings.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain a robust network of reliable suppliers. Negotiate long-term rate contracts, conduct vendor performance evaluations, and continuously scout for new, cost-effective sources.
Logistics & Multitasking: Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule dispatches and resolve transit issues.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years in procurement, preferably in Infrastructure, EPC, or Real Estate, handling bulk raw materials.
- Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Commerce, or an MBA
- Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities. Must be self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
