Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, procurement, vendor coordination, and timely availability of raw materials, consumables, fabrication items, hardware, and project-related materials required for PEB manufacturing and construction activities. The role focuses on cost optimization, quality compliance, and timely deliveries to support production and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure PEB raw materials such as steel plates, coils, structural steel, fasteners, roofing sheets, insulation materials, welding consumables, and hardware items.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) and obtain competitive offers from approved vendors.
- Compare quotations and prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for management approval.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP systems.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery as per production and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, and Project teams regarding material requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.
- Develop new vendors and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Verify material specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements before procurement.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase reports, vendor databases, and documentation.
- Track market trends in steel and construction materials to achieve cost savings.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, shortages, delays, and billing discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification and vendor payments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement within PEB, Steel Manufacturing, Structural Fabrication, Construction, or Engineering industries.
