Job Summary
Job Description – Purchase Executive
The Purchase Executive is responsible for day-to-day procurement activities, including material purchasing,vendor coordination, documentation, and logistics support. The role ensures timely availability of materials for EPC projects while maintaining cost control and proper records.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase & Vendor Coordination
Raise and process purchase orders as per project requirements. Coordinate with vendors for order confirmation,pricing, and delivery timelines. Follow up to ensure on-time material delivery.
- Material & Documentation Control
Ensure material specifications match approved BOM. Manage MDCC, test certificates, warranty documents, and other required dispatch paperwork.
- Logistics & Dispatch Support
Coordinate packing lists and dispatch details with vendors and logistics teams. Track production and dispatch schedules to avoid site delays.
- Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
Check warehouse stock before raising new purchase requests. Verify GRNs against purchase orders and resolve material shortages or mismatches.
- Vendor Invoice & Payment Support
Process proforma and tax invoices and coordinate with finance for timely vendor payments. Support vendor ledger reconciliation as required.
- Reporting & Cost Tracking
Update purchase trackers and budget sheets. Share regular updates on purchase status, inventory, and vendor performance.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in EPC, Solar, or Construction industry.
Skills Required
Basic knowledge of ERP/SAP or Tally, good Excel skills, vendor coordination, documentation handling, and clear communication.
