🔍 Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer with experience in sheet metal and turnkey project industries. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor development, procurement planning, and ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials.
🛠 Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Analyze and evaluate suppliers to select the most suitable vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, lead time, and quality terms
Manage supplier performance related to cost, delivery schedules, and quality standards
Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials
Drive cost-saving initiatives and procurement efficiency
Ensure compliance with commercial, legal, and contractual requirements
Work closely with vendors on continuous quality improvement
Handle Purchase Orders (PO) and Vendor Development activities
⚙️ Technical & Functional Requirements:
Experience in Sheet Metal Industry and Turnkey Projects (Process / Material Handling Equipment)
Basic understanding of Electrical buyouts
Knowledge of Project Cost Estimation
📊 Purchasing Activities:
Supplier evaluation and vendor selection
Vendor negotiations and onboarding
Visiting supplier plants and distribution centers
Supplier collaboration and policy alignment
Maintaining and reviewing procurement records
Monitoring long-term and running contracts
📦 Material Management Activities:
Coordination with supply chain for PO processing & invoicing
Inventory control and material planning
Ensuring smooth material flow for projects
🎓 Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (DME / BE Mech)
🕒 Experience:
2 to 3 Years
💼 Preferred Industry Experience:
Sheet Metal / Process Equipment / Material Handling / Turnkey Project Companies
