Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchase Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in procurement and sourcing activities within Manufacturing and EPC industries. The candidate should possess strong negotiation and communication skills, hands-on ERP experience, and the ability to manage end-to-end procurement processes while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
· Handle end-to-end procurement activities for project and operational requirements.
· Source materials, equipment, consumables, and services from approved vendors.
· Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analysis, and negotiate commercial terms.
· Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP systems.
· Ensure timely availability of materials to support project execution and production schedules.
Vendor Management
· Develop and maintain a strong vendor base.
· Evaluate suppliers based on quality, delivery performance, pricing, and service.
· Identify alternate suppliers and support vendor development initiatives.
· Maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
ERP & Documentation
· Create and manage RFQs, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and GRNs in ERP.
· Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases.
· Ensure data accuracy and compliance with procurement procedures.
Coordination & Follow-up
· Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Stores, Maintenance, Finance, and Operations teams.
· Track supplier commitments and expedite deliveries.
· Resolve supply, quality, and invoice-related issues with vendors.
· Monitor inventory requirements and support stock optimization.
Cost Optimization
· Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
· Ensure procurement activities align with budget and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
· Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
· 4–5 years of procurement experience in Manufacturing and/or EPC industries.
· Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
· Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs.
· Good knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and commercial terms.
· Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting.
