Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Assistant/Purchase Manager, located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The responsibilities include managing procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The role will also involve maintaining accurate purchase records, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with quality and procurement standards. The Purchase Assistant/Manager will collaborate with internal teams to forecast material requirements and ensure inventory optimization.
Qualifications
- Procurement and negotiation skills, including experience in obtaining quotes, processing purchase orders, and negotiating pricing
- Ability to evaluate vendor relationships and ensure compliance with quality and performance standards
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple procurement tasks effectively
- Proficiency in inventory management and maintaining accurate purchase records
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
- Knowledge of electrical components, switchgear, or LT control panels is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools is an advantage
