Role Description
The Punjabi Content Writer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district. This role involves researching political and social issues, drafting persuasive and informative content in Punjabi for campaigns, social media, speeches, and outreach materials, and adapting complex ideas into clear, accessible language. The Punjabi Content Writer will collaborate closely with strategists, digital teams, and field staff to ensure content aligns with campaign goals and resonates with targeted voter segments. Daily tasks include writing and editing copy, localizing content for different Punjabi-speaking audiences, maintaining consistent messaging, and meeting tight deadlines during campaign cycles.
Qualifications
- Strong Punjabi writing skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling, and culturally relevant content for diverse audiences.
- Experience in political, social, or public-interest content creation, including campaign messaging, social media posts, and outreach materials.
- Ability to conduct thorough research using credible sources and translate insights into concise, persuasive narratives.
- Proficiency in editing and proofreading Punjabi content for accuracy, tone, grammar, and consistency.
- Familiarity with digital platforms and basic content marketing or social media practices in the political or advocacy context.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work under pressure during high-intensity campaign periods.
- Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback from strategists and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, Communications, Languages, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Understanding of Punjab’s political landscape and voter behavior is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining professional, inclusive, and non-discriminatory language and messaging in all content.
