About the role

I am pleased to inform you that following your interview for internship conducted by the Public Service Commission, you were successful. I congratulate you on this well-deserved achievement. Consequently, and subject to your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this letter, you are hereby offered appointment as an intern under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) for a non-renewable duration of twelve (12) months at Business Registration Services.The effective date of your appointment shall be the date you report but not later than 02 May 2025. The institution may deploy you to any of their offices within the country. On reporting to the work station (Headquarters), you will be expected to submit both the Original and Copies of the following documents: i. A copy of your appointment letter; ii. Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts; iii. National Identity Card or Passport; iv. Birth Certificate; v. KRA PIN certificate; vi. A valid certificate of good conduct from Directorate Criminal Investigations: vii. Two (2) colour passport size photographs; viii. Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) card; ix. Personal Accident Insurance Cover; x. National Social Security Fund (NSSF) card; and xi. A duly filled personal bio-data form (printed from the Internship Management System - https://pscims.publicservice.go.ke/jobs/ or https://psckjobs.go.ke). You will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Kshs.25,000 per month to be paid by the Public Service Commission. Whenever you are required to work away from your duty station you will be paid a Daily Subsistence Allowance (night-out allowance) of Kshs.4,000 by the organization you are deployed in. During the internship period, you will be eligible for fifteen (15) days leave after three (3) months of continuous service. There will be no commutation for cash for unutilised leave days. As an intern in the public service, you will be required to strictly observe confidentiality of information. It is a criminal offence to disclose official information to unauthorised entity or persons or using it for personal benefit. Your conduct will be subject to all regulations of the public service which are currently in existence or which may be issued from time to time. Please note that this offer does not guarantee you employment in the public service; and neither the Public Service Commission nor the host MDA shall be under any obligation to employ you during or upon completion of your internship.
