Position: Account Manager (Consumer/FMCG)
Location: Mumbai, India
Experience Required: 4–6 years
Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Public Relations Account Manager with prior experience handling consumer and/or FMCG brands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving impactful PR campaigns, and leading a small team to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Servicing & Strategy
- Build, manage, and nurture strong relationships with assigned clients.
- Plan, develop, and execute integrated PR strategies aligned with brand objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.
- Drive high-impact media coverage including stories, interviews, features, and brand narratives.
2. Media Relations & Influencer Marketing
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key media stakeholders across consumer and FMCG sectors.
- Identify and secure relevant media opportunities, including features, interviews, and brand placements.
- Strategize and execute influencer marketing campaigns in line with brand positioning.
- Stay updated with media trends and leverage opportunities for maximum brand visibility.
3. Content & Communication
- Create compelling content including press releases, media pitches, brand stories, and business communications.
- Ensure all communication reflects a strong, consistent, and sophisticated brand voice.
- Tailor messaging for different audiences across traditional and digital platforms.
4. Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Set clear goals, delegate responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.
- Oversee daily team operations and provide strategic direction where needed.
Key Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in Public Relations, preferably with exposure to consumer and/or FMCG brands.
- Strong media network across consumer, lifestyle, and business media.
- Proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to craft impactful brand narratives.
- Experience in managing client relationships and leading teams.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with influencers and digital campaigns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
