Role Overview
123Greetings is seeking a strategic and execution-focused PR Executive to lead all public relations initiatives and safeguard the company’s public image. This role is responsible for identifying, shaping, maintaining, and enhancing the brand perception of 123Greetings across media, partners, users, and the broader public. The PR Executive will serve as the custodian of the company’s narrative and ensure consistent, credible, and positive representation across all external touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Image & Reputation Management (Core Responsibility)
- Define and articulate the public image, voice, and positioning of 123Greetings.
- Continuously assess how the brand is perceived across media, digital platforms, and public discourse.
- Develop and execute strategies to strengthen brand credibility, trust, and emotional connection with audiences.
- Ensure all external communications align with the company’s values, tone, and long-term brand strategy.
- Proactively manage reputation risks and recommend corrective actions when required.
2. Media Relations & Outreach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets.
- Identify relevant media opportunities for brand coverage, interviews, features, and thought leadership.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, company announcements, and spokesperson briefs.
- Coordinate media interactions and prepare leadership for interviews and public appearances.
- Track media coverage, analyze sentiment, and prepare regular PR performance reports.
3. Strategic Communication & Messaging
- Develop clear and consistent messaging frameworks for:
- Product launches
- Company milestones
- Campaigns and initiatives
- Corporate announcements
- Translate business objectives into compelling public narratives.
- Ensure messaging consistency across PR, marketing, social media, and corporate communications.
4. Crisis Communication & Issue Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for managing crisis communications.
- Draft response statements and communication plans for sensitive or high-risk situations.
- Monitor public conversations and media signals to identify potential issues early.
- Work closely with leadership, legal, and internal teams during crisis scenarios.
5. Content & Thought Leadership
- Identify opportunities to position the company and leadership as industry thought leaders.
- Contribute to or oversee the creation of:
- Opinion articles
- Interviews
- Guest columns
- Industry commentary
- Support award submissions, recognitions, and speaking opportunities.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Social Media, Product, and Leadership teams to align communication strategies.
- Support employer branding initiatives in coordination with HR.
- Ensure PR strategies complement marketing campaigns and business goals.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or brand management
- Proven experience in managing media relations and brand reputation
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
