Job Description:
The position reports to Head – Corporate Communications & PR. The responsibilities are:
- Support the team on driving impactful Corp Comm and PR and build a strong reputation for GEG
- Identify and explore (in collaboration with the PR advisory) thought leadership opportunities- media/ speaker/ sponsorship opportunities.
- Build narratives that help business objectives and tie back to the corporate narrative framework.
- Conceptualize owned media properties that help in establishing category-based thought leadership.
Media relations & Content
- Co-develop and implement PR strategies and publicity campaigns for B2C and B2B businesses within the group.
- Build, narrate and maintain strong relations with key media.
- Be up to date on current trends, issues and news about consumer, business and corporate media.
- Manage external PR advisory.
- Ensure consistency of companywide communication and support impactful regional media strategies.
- Ensure business narratives are aligned with the corporate reputation pillars.
- Ensure corporate messaging is seeded across business communication briefing document for all media engagements.
- Partner with media platforms and thought leaders to seed content that enhances G&B reputation.
Digital PR
- Increase digital safety net of B2C and corporate brand.
- Identify and liaison with micro influencers/ social commentators.
- Amplify corporate brand’s digital presence – through support to the corporate social media team on content direction, influencer marketing, social media platforms of editorial teams, social communities.
- Create high impact content driven narratives and amplify through relevant digital platforms.
- Monitor digital analytics to gain insights, take corrective action and spot opportunities.
Internal stakeholder management
- Close co-ordination with brand managers and PR SPOCS from B2C brands.
- Provide strategic recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Arrange capability building training/ workshops for stakeholders.
Industry thought leadership.
- Create Speaker opportunities/ visibility at industry forums.
- Study placement in reputed colleges/ schools/ institutes
Required Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline with post-graduate qualification from a reputed institute in PR/Communications/Media/Journalism
Required Experience:
- Min. 10 years of relevant work experience in PR & Corporate Communication functions
- Relevant network with media- especially with consumer & corporate media
Skills Required:
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage media and influence the same to speak on behalf of GEG
