We are looking for talented Public Relations professionals to join our team and work from top engineering colleges as a campus representative. This is a key role in developing and executing media (print, online and social) strategies for the college and our diverse range of clients.
Responsibilities:
· Client servicing and campus communication - develop a communication plan as per client requirement and roll out the approved strategy. 2-3 clients will have to be serviced out of which the primary client will be the campus to which the candidate is allocated.
· Operations and implementation of media strategy for all matters related to client servicing, media outreach, reporting and monitoring of media. This will also include science communication.
· Client engagement and client relationship management across all clients allocated to the candidate. Regular client interactions through phone, mails and meetings is required in this role.
· Documentation - prepare client-facing documents such as pitch notes, press releases, reports, news monitoring, news highlights, presentations, research documents, monthly and weekly reports, presentations of review of work, etc. Make videos on science research being done on campus.
· Develop new processes to ensure quality deliverables and enhanced productivity
· Strengthening media relationships and establishing senior media relationships in key media houses relevant to the priority clients allocated. Strengthening relationships with local and national media is a priority for this role.
· Development of strategic content such as press releases, pitch notes, opinion articles, report summaries etc. for clients as required.
· The role on campus will include - Meeting faculty, seeking inputs for media stories, and keeping the college in the news constantly and consistently, media news monitoring and reporting, news analysis, social media monitoring, establishing new media relationships, documentation, etc.
· Social media monitoring and social media engagement on behalf of the client is mandatory in this role.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of online, print, digital and social media
• Excellent client servicing and client management skills
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Active on Social Media and and staying up-to-date on current trends
• Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Agility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment
Good to have:
• Understanding of major social media platforms and their algorithms
• Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
• Experience with social media listening and sentiment analysis tools
• Experience with video editing and graphic design
• Experience in scientific writing is preferred
