Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Psychologist role based in Palakkad. The Psychologist will provide individual and group counselling, conduct psychological assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to client needs. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records, collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues, and participating in case discussions and supervision as needed. The role also involves promoting mental health awareness, adhering to ethical and professional standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of services at the center.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical clinical work.
- Demonstrated skills in Counseling, including active listening, rapport-building, and delivering structured therapeutic interventions.
- Competence in Psychological Assessment, including selecting, administering, and interpreting appropriate tools and measures.
- Relevant background in health sciences is an advantage, particularly for understanding co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution; licensure or registration as required.
- Prior experience in clinical or counselling settings, preferably in mental health institutions or community-based services.
- Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
