Role Description
This is a contract-based remote role for a Psychological Counselling Intern. The intern will assist in providing support to clients through virtual consultations, conduct initial assessments, and collaborate with senior mental health professionals to develop personalized care strategies. Responsibilities include observing therapy sessions, documenting case notes, conducting research on mental health trends, and supporting educational initiatives. The intern will also contribute to outreach programs to raise awareness about mental health.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of psychological theories, therapeutic techniques, and counseling approaches
- Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills
- Proficient in conducting research and analyzing mental health data
- Strong organizational and documentation skills for case management
- Familiarity with teletherapy tools and technology
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Experience in mental health awareness campaigns or community outreach is a plus
