Company Description: The Mind Project is an online mental health platform that connects individuals across India with licensed psychologists and therapists through secure video, audio, and chat consultations. Care is delivered on users’ phones, at their pace, and on their terms.
Role Description: The Psychiatrist at The Mind Project will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for individuals across a range of mental health conditions, with a focus on person-centered care. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth clinical interviews, formulating treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and collaborating with psychologists, therapists, and Care Navigators to ensure integrated care. The role involves regular follow-up consultations, maintaining accurate medical records, and contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical protocols. The psychiatrist will also support preventive mental health initiatives, psychoeducation, and crisis management when needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mysuru.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Medicine and Psychiatry.
- Candidates should possess skills in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health management.
- Candidates should possess competencies in Adolescent Psychiatry and age-specific psychiatric assessment.
- Relevant medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Psychiatry (MD/DNB or equivalent), and valid registration with appropriate medical council.
- Experience in clinical psychiatry, preferably in multidisciplinary or digital-health settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mental health professionals and provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care.
- Strong communication skills in English and at least one regional Indian language; comfort working with diverse populations.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and use of technology-enabled tools for care delivery and documentation.
