Job details:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations
- Diagnose mental health conditions using standards such as DSM-5 and ICD-10
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications such as Antidepressants, Antipsychotics, and Mood stabilizers
- Provide psychotherapy or refer to psychologists/therapists as needed
- Manage conditions such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorders
- Bipolar disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust medications accordingly
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with psychologists, SLPs, OTs, and social workers
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
- Stay updated with advances in psychiatry and mental health care
Requirements
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology
Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
Decision-making and crisis management abilities
Ethical practice and confidentiality adherence
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
