About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Assistant Manager – Business Development to support our growth in the training and consulting domain. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting the end-to-end sales cycle. This position requires a deep understanding of corporate training solutions, client engagement, and market trends in learning and development. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients across industries with training and consulting needs. Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and market research. Client Engagement: Schedule and participate in client meetings, presentations, and consultations to understand client requirements. Maintain regular follow-ups with prospects and existing clients to nurture relationships. Proposal Development: Collaborate with the training and delivery team to develop customized training proposals and presentations. Draft and share commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals. Sales Execution: Support the closure of deals by negotiating terms and pricing with clients under guidance. Achieve monthly and quarterly business targets and report progress to senior management. Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client needs in the training domain. Provide feedback to internal teams for new product/service development. CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client communications using CRM tools. Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports on business development activities and achievements. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, HR, OB, Industrial Psychology or related field. MBA preferred. Experience: 2+ years of experience in business development, preferably in training, consulting, or HR solutions. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Ability to understand and communicate complex training solutions Self-driven, organized, and target-oriented Proficiency in Chat GPT, AI Tools familiarity for office work and SMM Well versed with Promotion tools and techniques (Linked in, Digital Marketing, Google ads, Facebook Ad Campaigns . Preferred Attributes: Prior experience working with corporate L&D or HR departments Understanding of learning & development trends and training program design Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
