Position Overview

PSG is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Investment Analysts to join our internship program in Summer 2026. As a member of the Execution team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in evaluating new investments, supporting M&A activity, and helping manage our portfolio of high-growth software companies. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop critical technical and analytical skills while contributing directly to live deals and strategic initiatives.

Interns will be fully embedded in PSG’s investment process—building financial models, conducting industry research, and participating in diligence efforts alongside seasoned investment professionals. You’ll receive personalized mentorship, work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, and build a strong foundation in growth equity investing. Top-performing individuals may be offered a return opportunity as full-time Analysts on the Execution team post-graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the Execution team in the due diligence process across M&A and equity financing transactions
  • Assist the Execution team with industry and market research in connection with evaluating new investments and managing existing investments to understand the end market and investment’s merits and risks
  • Prepare & build financial models across various transaction types (leveraged buyouts, minority equity financing, merger models, etc.)
  • Support senior investment professionals with potential investment processes; and assist in preparing and presenting the results of the team’s analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Monitor the firm’s portfolio companies, including review of monthly operating results and projecting future financial performance
  • Perform valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities

Ideal Experience And Competencies

  • This internship program is only open to students who plan to graduate in 2027 and will be rising seniors during Summer 2026. Prior internship experience in private equity, investment banking, or venture capital is a plus.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience in financial modeling methodologies such as leveraged buyouts (LBO), merger models, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis; proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large data sets to support investment decision-making
  • Team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to express key points in a clear and concise manner
  • A competitive drive to own individual and team results
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a vibrant, growing environment while meeting the expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage rapidly changing assignments
  • Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and ethical behavior
