EMT Intermediate

The EMT Intermediate is responsible for the delivery of quality care for ill or injured patients under varied conditions in collaboration with departmental specific personnel. The Advanced EMT must be highly motivated and able to function using assessment skills and written standards when physician contact is not possible. Must also be able to participate in departmental committees, public relations, and outreach education.

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

  • This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled.
  • This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:
    • Texas: Lubbock
  • ⁠Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.
  • Flexible and available to work on a variable shift which may include days, evenings, or nights shifts.
  • Work Status Available:
    • Per Diem / On Call
  • Positions specified as “on call/per diem” refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an “as needed basis” to fill in for staff vacancies.
  • Shift Available:
    • Variable
  • Shifts Hours:
    • Shift length: 24 hours (7am - 7am)

Required Qualifications:    

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate License Or
  • Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License
    • Texas 
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
