About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead, shape, and build a quality team and quality processes across the organization. This cross-functional role will be responsible for managing and leading a team of SDETs and working across Engineering, Product, and other stakeholders to advance quality solutions and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the Engineering and Data team, the SDET Senior Manager is expected to:
Define and communicate the quality vision, and develop an organizational structure that is aligned with company growth;
Lead, mentor, and manage the SDET team; support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability and product quality;
Work closely and collaboratively with product development, engineering, support, and operations teams to integrate quality processes into the software development lifecycle;
Own the quality strategy and establish quality best practices and standards, with a strong focus on automated testing;
Identify and mitigate risks associated with software quality, ensuring that potential issues are proactively addressed;
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of quality processes and initiatives;
Ensure that software products comply with industry regulations, standards, and best practices;
Champion the voice of the customer in all quality activities, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations;
Mentor and inspire others to raise the bar for everyone around them;
What We Require
8+ years of experience in software engineering with a significant focus on test automation;
People management experience and a passion for attracting and developing talent;
The ability to dive into hand-on IC work on a part-time basis.
Ability to build cross-functional relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels;
Extensive experience in developing and implementing quality strategies, processes, and automation frameworks;
Effective at driving complex multi-stakeholder processes and cross team programs;
Self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies;
Ability to keep pace and absorb rapidly evolving technical solutions being developed and deployed in both domestic and international locations;
Independent worker who can balance planned work with ad-hoc requests from peers.
