Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop prototypes across domains like robotics, renewable energy, IoT, mechanical systems, electronics, AI-integrated devices, etc.
Source materials, components, and tools cost-effectively while ensuring quality and feasibility.
Work closely with students to train, guide, and supervise them in building their own prototypes for competitions, research projects, and university applications.
Interpret project briefs and transform ideas into functional models, adding your own innovative inputs where applicable.
Collaborate with project leads, researchers, and academic counselors to align prototypes with broader project goals.
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely completion of prototypes.
Maintain documentation for processes, materials used, and design iterations.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields.
Strong understanding of engineering design principles, CAD software, circuitry, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), sensors, motors, 3D printing, etc.
Experience working with AI/ML integration in hardware projects is a plus.

Skills & Expertise:

Prototyping: Mechanical, electronic, IoT, or robotics systems.
Proficiency in tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, basic programming for embedded systems.
Ability to source materials both online and offline, managing budgets effectively.
Strong problem-solving mindset with a flair for innovation and improvisation.
Excellent mentoring skills — ability to simplify technical concepts for students.
Project management skills to handle multiple student projects simultaneously.
