Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Dentist role based in Vijayawada. The Associate Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, preventive care, and patient education. Responsibilities include performing clinical procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, extractions, scaling and polishing, and managing dental emergencies under clinical protocols. The role involves maintaining accurate and timely patient records, treatment notes, and documentation in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards. The Associate Dentist will collaborate with other dental and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow, high-quality care, and adherence to infection control and sterilization procedures. The position also includes counseling patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and follow-up visits, while maintaining a calm, respectful, and professional chairside manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution; valid dental registration/license as per applicable Indian dental council regulations.
- Clinical experience in general dentistry, including diagnostics, restorative procedures, basic endodontics, and simple extractions; prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong patient-care skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to explain treatment options and preventive care in simple terms.
- Knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols, and safe clinical practices in a dental setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage time effectively in a busy clinical environment.
- Comfort with basic dental software or electronic records; willingness to learn clinic-specific systems and processes.
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, continuing education, and staying updated on current dental practices and guidelines.
- Proficiency in English and local languages (such as Telugu) is an advantage for effective communication with patients.
- Salary range: 25000 onwards
