Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and client-focused Proposal Manager to lead and manage the end to end proposal development process for projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in government procurement processes, strategic thinking, and a passion for crafting winning proposals, delivering impactful presentations, conducting product demos, and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide suitable IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proposal Development and Management:
• Lead the development of comprehensive, high-quality proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs issued by Indian government departments and agencies.
• Ensure compliance with bid requirements, proposal guidelines, and government standards.
• Collaborate with technical, legal, financial, and operations teams to gather and align inputs.
2. Government Procurement Expertise:
• Interpret and analyze RFPs and related documents to identify critical requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Stay updated on Indian government procurement policies, procedures, and e tendering portals.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Engage with internal stakeholders to define proposal strategies, win themes, and competitive differentiators.
• Coordinate with external partners and vendors to incorporate their contributions where applicable.
4. Documentation and Content Development:
• Draft, review, and refine technical, financial, and administrative sections of proposals.
• Maintain a repository of reusable content, templates, and case studies to accelerate proposal development.
5. Risk Assessment and Review:
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposal submission.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of final proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
6. Post-Submission Support:
• Respond to clarifications and amendments during the evaluation process.
• Provide inputs for contract negotiations and project kickoff upon successful award.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s degree is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and business activities.
• 5–8 years of experience in proposal management, with a focus on Indian government IT projects. • Ability to understand and analyze business requirements.
• Comprehensive understanding of government tendering processes, procurement policies, and e- bidding platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IT services, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Must-have:
• Experience in conducting software/product demos.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance specific to Indian government IT projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
