Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Proposal Engineer with experience in water and wastewater treatment systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals, cost estimations, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver competitive and compliant bids.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare techno-commercial proposals for WTP, STP, ETP, RO, DM, and filtration systems
- Analyze client requirements, tender documents, and technical specifications
- Perform cost estimation and BOM preparation based on project scope
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and sales teams for accurate proposal inputs
- Prepare technical datasheets, GA drawings (with design team), and compliance statements
- Handle RFQs, tenders, and bidding documentation
- Evaluate vendor quotations and optimize costing
- Ensure proposals meet client specifications and industry standards
- Maintain proposal database and documentation for future reference
Required Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of water & wastewater treatment processes
- Understanding of RO systems, softeners, DM plants, filtration systems
- Good command over costing, estimation, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with tendering process and contract terms
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic AutoCAD (preferred)
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
Educational Qualification- B.Tech / BE in Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering
- Relevant experience in water treatment industry is mandatory
Preferred Candidate Profile- Experience in handling industrial or municipal water treatment projects
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple proposals
- Exposure to export or international projects (added advantage)
