Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Presales Engineer based in Mulund. The role involves providing technical support to sales teams, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting with the integration of solutions within client systems. The Presales Engineer will collaborate with clients to understand their needs, prepare proposals, and ensure the security and feasibility of proposed solutions. The role also includes working closely with engineering teams to address client-specific technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Technical Support and Integration experience to address client-specific requirements effectively
- Expertise in Presales and Sales to facilitate client interactions and prepare compelling proposals
- Understanding of Security requirements to ensure system integrity and client solution feasibility
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective client engagement
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related technical field is preferred
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with diverse teams
- Familiarity with process industries and related technologies is advantageous
Qualification: BE/B.tech - Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation
Experience: 2 Years - 5 Years
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Generate quotes: Work directly with sales executives to create accurate, professional, and timely quotations for customers based on their specific inquiries and requirements. Drafts and prepares the initial price quotes based on the specifications gathered by the on-site executive.
- Sourcing and configuring products: For complex products, the internal team handles the back-office product configuration, ensuring the quote aligns with all customer needs and technical requirements.
- Ensure accuracy: Review all quotes for completeness and compliance with company policies and procedures before they are sent to the customer in co-orination /approval of Sales representative. They double-check all quotes for errors and ensure that the pricing and terms comply with company policy. The internal team ensures all quotes use correct pricing and the latest product information, reducing the risk of costly errors.
- Adding branding and collateral: The team can add approved marketing materials, such as brochures or case studies, directly to the quote document, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
- Coordinate with external sales: Communicate with on-site sales executives to ensure quote details align with their customer conversations and strategies.
- Manage customer data: Accurately enter and maintain quote details, customer information, and project statuses within the company’s customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Order processing: Process the customer’s purchase orders and coordinate with relevant departments like logistics and production to ensure timely delivery.
- Expedite requests: Handle requests for rush orders and communicate with the logistics team to make any necessary adjustments.
- Internal collaboration: Work with other internal teams, such as technical, marketing, and finance departments, to gather information and ensure a seamless sales process.
- Troubleshoot issues: Proactively address potential issues that may delay order fulfillment or impact customer satisfaction.
