<div><strong><u>Position Summary</u></strong></div><div>The Grounds Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Hilltop Lakes POA community with a strong emphasis on groundskeeping and outdoor care. This entry-level position performs routine landscaping, site cleanup, and property maintenance to ensure common areas remain attractive, safe, and well-maintained for residents and visitors.</div><div> </div><div>The technician works under general supervision and contributes to preserving the natural beauty and functionality of the community.</div><div> </div><div><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></div><div><strong><u> </u></strong></div><div><strong>Groundskeeping & Community Appearance (Primary Focus)</strong></div><div>• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, and clearing debris<br> • Maintain roadsides, common areas, recreation areas, and POA-owned properties to ensure a clean and well-kept appearance<br> • Remove brush, limbs, leaves, and natural debris to maintain safe and accessible outdoor spaces<br> • Assist with landscaping projects such as planting, mulching, and seasonal grounds preparation<br> • Support storm cleanup efforts, including removal of fallen limbs and debris<br> • Monitor property conditions and report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the supervisor<br> • Ensure public areas are presentable and free of litter or safety concerns</div><div> </div><div><strong>General Maintenance Support</strong></div><div>• Assist with minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep of POA facilities as needed</div><div>• Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools</div><div>• Complete assigned work orders accurately and in a timely manner</div><div>• Assist other maintenance staff with daily assignments and community projects</div><div> </div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><div>• High school diploma or equivalent preferred</div><div>• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred but not required</div><div>• Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment helpful</div><div>• Ability to follow safety procedures and established work practices</div><div>• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, walking, and working outdoors in various weather conditions</div><div>• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team</div><div>• Valid driver’s license preferred</div>
