About the Role:
Colstay Limited (Hive Hostels) is seeking a proactive and organised Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of student hostel properties. This role requires strong coordination between tenants, maintenance teams, and management to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality living environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Tenant Relations
- Manage tenant relationships and resolve concerns promptly
- Screen prospective tenants and conduct background checks
- Handle lease agreements, renewals, and terminations
- Oversee rent collection and follow up on pending payments
- Coordinate evictions and legal processes when required
2. Property Operations
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain property standards
- Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff
- Coordinate repairs and ensure timely issue resolution
- Maintain property budgets and operational records
- Monitor market trends and rental benchmarks
3. Financial Management
- Set, collect, and track rent and other applicable charges
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports
4. Legal & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local landlord–tenant laws
- Maintain proper documentation and records
- Enforce company policies and property standards
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of experience in property management preferably from the hospitality background.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage teams and handle operational challenges
- Highly organised, responsible, and capable of multitasking
