Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Property Manager role based in Manali. The Property Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the homestay, including guest check-ins and check-outs, room readiness, housekeeping coordination, and basic property maintenance follow-up. The role includes managing reservations, responding to guest inquiries, handling feedback, and ensuring a warm, welcoming, and inclusive guest experience aligned with the HOGS ethos. The Property Manager will supervise on-ground staff, manage vendor relationships, monitor inventory and supplies, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards. They will also support community-building activities such as small events, group conversations, and curated local experiences for guests.
Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality operations, property management, or homestay/guesthouse management, preferably in a travel or community-focused setting.
- Strong guest relations and customer service skills, with the ability to create a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for diverse travelers.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, including basic booking management, record-keeping, and coordination of housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills in English and Hindi; additional local languages are an advantage.
- Problem-solving mindset, reliability in handling on-ground issues, and comfort making decisions independently when needed.
- Ability to live and work on-site in Manali and adapt to a hill-station lifestyle and seasonal variations in guest flow.
- Interest in slow travel, community living, motorbiking or backpacking culture, and facilitating meaningful guest interactions is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety, hygiene, and emergency protocols within a hospitality setting.
- Prior team supervision experience is a plus; openness to learning, receiving feedback, and growing with the property is essential.
