About the Role
The Vice President of Property Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational performance across Proper’s multifamily portfolio. This role will lead efforts to standardize processes, improve property-level execution, and scale best-in-class management practices across multiple markets.
You will partner closely with executive leadership and regional teams to translate strategy into execution—ensuring strong financial performance, operational consistency, and continuous improvement across the platform. This role requires both high-level strategic thinking and hands-on operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Oversight & Performance: Lead operations across multiple markets, ensuring strong NOI growth, occupancy, and asset performance
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices across the portfolio
- Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and financial metrics, identifying gaps and driving corrective action
- Strategic Execution: Partner with executive leadership to execute company-wide initiatives and growth strategies
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop regional and property-level teams to drive accountability and results
- On-Site Engagement: Travel regularly to support property teams, assess performance, and ensure operational alignment
- Scalability & Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and operational consistency across markets
