Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Proofpoint Email Security Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our email communications within the BFSI sector. You will leverage your expertise in email security protocols and troubleshooting to enhance our security measures and ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational tickets related to Proofpoint Email Security.
- Provide safe listing and block listing support for domains and email addresses.
- Conduct phishing email analysis and troubleshoot issues concerning non-delivery of emails.
- Create and modify email firewall/spam rules as per service tickets to address specific security requirements.
- Monitor email security alerts and manage responses based on alerts generated by the Proofpoint Email Monitoring system.
- Collaborate with vendors for the timely resolution of platform-related tickets and enhance overall email security performance.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Have 6-8 years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years focusing on Proofpoint Email Security solutions.
- Possess a strong understanding of email security protocols, including safe listing, block listing, and phishing analysis.
- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
