Overview
We are seeking a skilled Prompt Engineer to design, optimize, and implement prompts that enhance the performance of large language models (LLMs). The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and user-focused AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prompt Design & Optimization: Create and refine prompts to ensure accurate, contextually relevant, and high-quality AI responses for diverse use cases.
- Testing & Evaluation: Develop and execute testing frameworks, including A/B testing, to assess prompt performance across various scenarios and user demographics.
- Output Analysis: Analyze AI outputs to identify improvement areas, addressing edge cases, biases, and hallucinations to enhance response reliability.
- Bias & Safety Mitigation: Implement strategies to reduce biases and ensure ethical, safe AI outputs, contributing to AI governance and safety guidelines.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineers to align prompts with user needs and optimize model performance.
- Prompt Library Management: Build and maintain a version-controlled repository of prompt templates, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
· Innovation: Experiment with advanced prompting techniques, including Chain-of-Thought (CoT), Chain-of-Domain (CoD), Few-Shot Learning, Zero-Shot Learning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Self-Consistency, integrating successful approaches into production to enhance AI performance and adaptability across diverse use cases.
- Research & Development: Stay updated on advancements in prompt engineering, LLMs, and AI technologies to drive innovation.
- Documentation & Training: Produce clear documentation and training materials to support internal teams in leveraging AI effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of LLMs (e.g., GPT-4o, Claude, DeepSeek R1) and their mechanics.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, API integration, and analytical tasks.
- Experience with prompt management tools (e.g., Git, PromptLayer, Langsmith).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to systematically test, optimize, and refine prompts with a focus on performance and user impact.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for precise prompt crafting and cross-team collaboration.
