Project Overview
Title of the project:
Impart Inclusive Digital Learning Project for Visually Impaired Students in Mumbai and Ratnagiri
Key Features:
“Delivering Opportunities through Touch (DOT)” - Enhancing science education & digital literacy in school (Class X) through tactile, refreshable, multi-line, AI-powered braille pad. It is a first of its kind initiative in India. This will be carried out across five (5) schools for blind students (in Mumbai and Ratnagiri) involving sixty (60) students; and will cover science subjects.
Role: Project Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient, on-time and seamless implementation of the project (as described above) within budget.
- Maintain liaison with the schools, school teachers, students and parents (in coordination with the school authorities)
- Supervision of day-to-day administrative issues; Conduct regular review meeting
- Identify improvement areas through discussion with school authorities
- Support in conducting classes on digital literacy
- Preparation of all the reports related to the program and submit monthly MIS report
- Support in arranging local experts as Visiting Faculty
- Promote the current initiative, to seek more CSR/philanthropic funding for further expansion
Eligibility Criteria
Essential:
● Graduation in a relevant field
● Minimum 2 years of experience in program/project management
Preferred:
● Post-graduation in a relevant field
● Certification in computer applications
● Experience in inclusive education or STEM programs
Mode of work:
· Hybrid – mix of work-from-home and travel to locations as necessary
