We have an urgent hiring requirement for the position of Sales Engineer – DPAC (Dual Purpose Air conditioning (Institutional Sales/ Project Sales) based in Ernakulam (Kochi) with Chilton Refrigeration Pvt. Ltd.

Dual Purpose Air Conditioner (DPAC), the new innovation from Chilton integrating the requirement of an air conditioner and water heater is recognised for its energy saving features and reduction in carbon footprint. With two manufacturing facilities- one in South India and other in Western India- Chilton is on growth path for expansion with units in Northern & Eastern India, targeting an aggressive milestone before its 50th Anniversary.
About Product:
Dual Purpose A/C is an innovative product new to the market. The sales person should be able to understand the benefit and present it to the potential institution . The product should be made acceptable to other purchase influencers like Architects, electrical/plumbing consultants, designers etc.
The focus will be through institutional sales. The procurement team in these institutions may not be not familiar with the product. Educating the decisions makers and decision influencers in the network is important in closing the deal.
Seasonal nature of A/c purchases make the sales and inventory planning complex
Product quality, loyal customers over last 40 years and extensive service support at affordable cost are favourable factors for Chilton. A team of innovative long serving professionals is the backbone of Chilton and in the next level of growth.
Key Requirements:
- Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the Air Conditioning Division / HVAC sales
- Strong network with Architects, Consultants, MEP Consultant, HVAC Consultant, Interior Designers & Institutional clients
- Experience in Institutional / Project Sales is mandatory
- Strong skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management
Role Overview:
- Drive institutional sales and achieve business targets
- Develop new customers and manage existing relationships
- Generate leads through networking, exhibitions, and industry connections
- Conduct site visits and meetings at project locations such as hospitals, resorts, schools, commercial buildings, etc.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain strong account management
- Share MIS reports, market insights, and competitor analysis
Important Note:
- The base location is Kochi Ernakulam; however, the role requires extensive travel across Kerala and occasionally to nearby/outstation locations.
